My husband is pretty cute :)

I'm working on improving my off-camera flash and so I took my husband up to the top of the hill in my neighborhood and grabbed a couple shots of him looking pretty awesome this evening :)  He is the chief of Shavers Fork Fire Rescue in Snowshoe, WV.  (and devastatingly handsome if I do say so myself) <3 <3 <3

Shann and Drew chose the beautiful Snowshoe Mountain Resort in WV as the location for their beautiful snow-filled engagement session. This was the perfect choice since they are on the mountain every weekend. It turns out that we have tons of friends in common and yet had never met! Since then, I've seen them everywhere! I love that!!  The other thing I love is the amazing compliments they gave me on their photos. It was my pleasure because I truly love what I do. 2012-2013 Senior Ambassador and Senior Model Application

Thank you for your interest in my Rockstar Senior Model Program!  I have completely changed my model program for this year and can't WAIT to see what fun these next sessions will bring!

Some of the cool stuff I have planned this year:

1. One hour "how many outfits can we do in an hour?" shoots
2. School Spirit Contest
3. Themed shoots
4. Party Shoots with props and friends
5. A Posing Guide featuring my Models
6. A revealing party for the above pictures when the guide is complete
7. A Photo Safari (Wait 'til you hear what THIS entails!!)
8. Free Apple products (including iPads) for hitting certain levels!!

and I'm sure we'll think of more fun stuff to spend your points on because we're just cool like that!

So how do you get to be a part of all this fun and festivities? It all starts below, by filling out the application. If you are selected, (based mostly on where you go to school, what grade you're in, what activities you participate in and how awesome you are), you will receive a confirmation of interest. At that point, we'll set up a consultation to go over both sides of the points system that runs the Kirsten Boehmer Photography Rockstar Model Program. It's easy to earn points, and it's easy to spend points, but understanding how it works... not always so easy. And you'll need to bring a parent so that they understand what is involved as well. From there, if you are a good fit, we book your first session right then and there and start planning!

I have two levels of Models - My Rockstar Models and My Rockstar Ambassador Models. My Models have the chance to earn cash and products for simply referring other students to me for their photos. My Ambassadors are the "Faces" of Kirsten Boehmer Photography each year. This is a smaller, elite group of students who do more, and earn more - including cash, prizes, additional photoshoots, getting famous by being on my marketing materials and other cool awesomeness.

Before your shoot, you will receive guidance on planning your shoot to make it the absolute best it can be.

At your shoot, you will receive:
- The option of a makeup artist at a discounted rate
- Additional ideas/images to make sure we get exactly what we're looking for to market you as an amazing Model or Ambassador
- Advice, encouragement, and tips on posing and expression

After your shoot, you will receive:
- Your own website to show off your images, as well as making it ridiculously easy to track your referrals with zero effort!
- Images for Facebook, Tumbler, Pinterest, etc. to let the world see how you nailed your shoot
- 10% off your order on the day of your premiere
- Your face all over my marketing materials including my new Posing Guide
- Cold Hard Cash and points for every referral that comes in through you
- Bonus Points you can earn easily and spend on cool stuff like free photoshoots, free products and more!

- Plus more perks as they come along!

The groups of Rockstar Ambassadors are my A-List group and get the most benefits and opportunities. Ambassadors are generally kept under 10 people so that it's an easily managed group of fun teens from several different schools and so that you are one of the elite in your own school!  Rockstar Senior Models are different from ambassadors and are limited to the first 25 students who have their senior sessions completed and sign up for the model program. Models earn a different level of rewards. This will be explained at your consultation. :)

I know you're thinking... what is this going to cost me?? That is where even more awesomeness comes in. It will cost you NO MORE than a regular shoot whether you pick one hour, or 3 hours!! AND you get the discount when ordering AND the opportunity to shoot several more times during the Spring and Summer Session for FREE,  and earn cash, products and other badass prizes! We'll talk about all that and more at the consultation, but I knew you'd be wondering!

Even if I don't have room for you as an Ambassador during this session, it doesn't mean that I don't want to meet you and make you one of my Models. Chances are, if you do something cool that I have an idea for, we could still plan a pretty awesome photo shoot AND that might just put you in the front of the line for the next session I do!

Hurry - The first schools to fill up are always Pocahontas County High School and Tygart's Valley High School, since I'm right in Slatyfork! If you are from one of those schools, definitely get your application in asap!! You do not have to be local to my area! I have photographed students from schools up to 3 hours away and would love to have Models and Ambassadors from those schools too!

An ocean of love - A St. Pete Beach FL wedding at the Sirata Beach Resort

Maggie and Matt met in Snowshoe, WV.   She a Florida girl, he an Ohio guy. They were married in October at the Sirata Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL. This wedding was especially meaningful to me because Maggie is my cousin, who I watched grow from a baby. Gotta say, the pressure was on, with this being a family wedding! A Greenbrier Wedding

Erin and Brent were single, both at a friend's wedding reception. They were checking each other out in secret. Erin sent a friend over to scope out Brent's hand to see if there was a wedding ring on it or not. (There wasn't). Brent assumed someone as beautiful as Erin would have been there with a guy. (She wasn't). They met on the dancefloor that night and their lives would never be the same. It was fitting then, that their Greenbrier wedding would have a stunning wedding dance to bring it all full circle.

He tells me that he loves her eyes, her smile, that she is so laid back. He loves that she loves football and other sports so much. He loves that her mind is like a steel trap, and loves what an independent woman she is, as well as loving the way she loves her family.

She tells me that she loves how authentic and genuine he is. She loves his kindness, and his heart. She loves how smart he is, and his open mind. She swoons over his dimples and dark curly hair every time she sees them.

Love for them is cooking together on Sunday, watching football, tailgating at college games, watching True Blood, working out, going to happy hour, traveling and just dancing together in the kitchen.

Erin and Brent, I wish you endless years of happiness, love, fall ballgames, laughter, and cooking together, in-between your perfect kitchen dances... Congratulations on your wedding and thank you for letting me be the one to preserve the most important day of your lives together.

WV's Cutest Kid Photo Contest!

I love cute kids - big eyelashes, kissable cheeks, bright smiles, dimples - the list goes on.  Do you think your kid is the cutest? The most adorable? The funniest?  If so, enter them into my West Virginia's Cutest Kid Photography Contest to benefit the Children's Home Society of WV (a cause close to my heart). Bring your most fun outfit to our session for a 15 minute mini photo shoot and help a great cause, plus have some beautiful images created of your little cutie!

For $39 per child (ages 6 months or comfortably sitting to 14 years old), you will receive a 15 minute (single outfit please) photo shoot and an entry into the contest. I will have special print packages available starting at $79 for this event, and all parents receive a free web-resolution image of their child for sharing with friends and family in e-mails or on Facebook.

Matt + Maggie Engagement "Save The Date" video | WV Engagement + Wedding Photography

Two lovebirds, two afternoons and over two thousand photos, met the rocking sounds of Queen's "Somebody to Love". The result was my very first (and hopefully not my last) Stop-Motion Save The Date announcement, telling in a couple minutes the story of the love between Matt  - a Snowshoe mountain bike park crew member, and Maggie - an EMT with Shavers Fork Fire Rescue.  Created entirely around the Silver Creek area of Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Pocahontas County, West Virginia.  I hope you enjoy- I really love it.

JD Brown | Tygart's Valley High School | WV Senior Pictures

Meet JD!!
He's a sports addict - and 'the man' at baseball, basketball and 4-wheeler racing. We had an awesome time hanging out and taking photos for his senior rep session.  Here are 20 things you might not know about this Tygart's Valley High School class of 2012 big man on campus - in his own words:

1.  I play baseball, basketball and race my 4-wheeler.
2.  I plan on attending Fairmont State, West Virginia Wesleyan College, or West Virginia University after high school.
3.  I can't sleep with socks on.

4.  My favorite season of the year is definitely Summer because school is out and that means sleeping in!

5.  In my opinion, going on vacation to the beach is the best part of Summer.

6.  My favorite thing to eat is steak.

 

7.  I like to fish in my spare time.

8.  I want to study to be a pharmacist.

9.  I love going to the beach, waterparks, and amusement parks.
